Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions
This document outlines the professional standards, safety protocols and legal agreements governing all services provided by ProView. By commissioning a mission (Survey, Lifestyle or Event), the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
1. Professional Standards & Certification
ProView operates under Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) GVC/A2 CofC certification. All operations strictly adhere to CAP 722 guidelines. While our areal surveying is informed by RICS building pathology standards, all data provided is for information purposes and should be verified by a Chartered Surveyor or Structural Engineer for formal legal or insurance valuations.
2. Flight Safety & Pilot Authority
The Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) maintains absolute authority regarding the execution of any flight. We reserve the right to abort, postpone or cancel any mission if the RPIC deems conditions (weather, bird activity or unauthorised persons) to be a risk to safety. Safety of life and property will always take precedence over the capture of media.
3. Booking Fees & Payment Terms
To secure a mission date, a non-refundable Booking Fee of 25% is required. This fee covers mandatory pre-flight administration, including site assessments and airspace risk mitigation. Final high-resolution media and reports will be released only upon receipt of the remaining 75% balance. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Weather Policy (Survey / Event)
Commercial/Survey: If adverse weather prevents flight, the mission will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Weddings/Lifestyle: For non-reshedulable events, the Pilot will remain on-site to monitor for safe "flyable windows". If flight is impossible for the duration of the event, the 75% balance will be refunded (or credited toward ground-based media), but the 25% Booking Fee is retained for attendance and pre-flight work.
5. Site Access & Venue Permissions
The Client is responsible for ensuring legal access to the take-off and landing site. For third-party venues (hotels, estates, etc), it is Client's responsibility to obtain written permission from the venue management. If a mission is prevented due to a lack of authorisation or hostile third parties, a "dry-run" fee (50% of the total quote) will apply.
6. Consumer Rights & Cancellations
In accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations, residential clients waive their 14-day cooling-off period once a flight mission has been initiated at their request. Client-led cancellations within 48 hours of a confirmed mission will result result in the forfeiture of the Booking Fee.
7. Intellectual Property & Promotional Use
ProView retains full copyright of all media captured. Unless explicitly opted-out in writing prior to the mission, the Client grants ProView a license to use captured imagery for promotional purposes on Facebook and professional portfolios. We commit to redacting car registrations and sensitive incidental data in line with privacy standards.
8. Data Protection (UK GDPR)
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). All data is handled under the Data Protection Act 2018. Raw imagery is stored for 30 days; final products are archived for 3 years. We do not share personal data with third parties without express consent, unless required for flight safety or legal compliance.
9. Creative License & Deliverables
For lifestyle and ecent missions, the Pilot retains final artistic control over framing and composition. While we strive to meet specific "shot lists", environmental factors may dictate alternative captures. Delivery timelines for edited media (e.g. Weddings/AirB&B) are typically 7-14 days, wheras survey data is usually delivered within 72 hours.
